FAQ's

Enrolling at BU – No Documents?

To enrol you will need to bring the documents detailed in your Welcome Letter which may include Photo ID and proof of your examination results.

If these are not available, you should still come to enrol and your Programme Administrator will advise you of a date by which you will need to supply the documents.

Enrolling at BU – How do I Register Online?

You will need to complete the Online Registration process before your enrolment day.  You will be invited to do this by email.  You will need to register online whether you are new to BU or a returning student.  If you have not been able to do this, computers will be available on the day although this can increase your waiting time considerably.  If you experience a problem with your online registration, please contact askBUstudents@bournemouth.ac.uk or telephone us on 01202 969696.

Enrolling at BU – Lost your Welcome Letter?

Your Welcome Letter details the time, place and date of your enrolment and also gives your log in details for BU's online services.  If you no longer have this, you can come to askBU with Photo ID to get a copy.  If you are not able to come in person, please contact askBUstudents@bournemouth.ac.uk or telephone us on 01202 969696.

Enrolling at BU – What if I'm late for Enrolment?

The policy for late enrollers is to allow one extra week for postgraduate students and two extra weeks for undergraduate students.

This is measured from the start of enrolment week in all cases.

There will not normally be any deviation from the above dates.  If, however, there are any exceptional cases of genuine mitigation, Karen Pichlmann, our Head of Admissions, will have the final say and will work with Programme Co-ordinators on these minimal cases.
